Clinical Laboratory Findings in Silicosis and Silicotuberculosis

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was carried out to know the hematological findings and parasitological study in Korean miners who had suffered from Silicosis and Silicotuberculosis admitted to Catholic Industrial Hospital from March, 1966 to April, 1975.
The results were as followings:
1. Hemoglobin levels in patients with Silicosis and Sillicotuberculosis were higher than control group.
2. Hematocrit levels were similar to Silicosis, Silicotuberculosis and control group.
3. E.S.R. levels in patients with Silicosis and Silicotuberculosis were higher than control: group.
4. Globulin levels in patients with Silicosis and Silicotuberculosis were higher than control group in A/G ratio.
5. The egg of Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura were founded in half of the cases study.
